We are looking for an exceptional and meticulous Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing and implementing computer systems and software programs. They will also analyze intricate data sets, identify valuable trends and patterns, and present their findings to drive informed strategic decision-making within the organization. The Data Analyst will demonstrate sound judgment and discretion, particularly in identifying areas of concern, success, and growth potential through data analysis. They will work both independently and collaboratively with leadership and team members to assess the impact of the organization's investments and philanthropic initiatives, as well as develop future strategies based on the insights gained from data analysis.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and applying analytical methods to business problems, driving improved decision-making and outcomes, preferably in the nonprofit or grantmaking sector

  • Experience with statistical analysis, research techniques, and survey and data visualization tools (e.g. R, Python, Tableau)

  • Knowledge of database management and SQL

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of data for each of the Entities to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support the analytical needs of the leadership teams.

  • Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test, streamline, modify, and implement efficient and effective computer programs and systems for data collection, entry, and analysis tools and systems in accordance with Entities’ different and evolving needs.

  • Develop easy-to-use and understandable dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings to various stakeholders.

  • Identify areas of concern and present proposed solutions to leadership and other stakeholders within the Entities.

  • Collaborate with leadership and team members from each of the Entities to identify relevant data points for tracking and to collect such data efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations.

  • Create, recommend, and support the development and growth of new and existing measurement frameworks for investments, programs, and grants.
